Sungai Buloh, Selangor

If you initially think this is a bungalow unit, please take a closer look.

One could never imagine that the house is originally two units of a cluster house that have been transformed into a bungalow-look unit, from the front view. The plan layout is merged and re-zoned to create a single-function house. While the aim is to retain as much of the existing structure as possible in order to minimize the hacking works, the layout on the first floor is meticulously arranged to effectively work with the existing spaces of the side unit as well as retain the external wall. To amalgamate the design, the white horizontal screens and a solid feature wall are stretched over along the units. The internal layout implements an open plan concept creating a continuous view from the dry kitchen that is set far inside overlooking the Garden via a full-height glass folding door, through the Dining and the Living Hall. The balcony is set at the corner on the first floor connecting the Gymnasium and an Office to maximize the Garden view.
